program offers participants support in preparing, finding and maintaining
employment with our local community. Through skill development and
job training we assist our clients in achieving their individual
The Employment Coordinator
assesses current skills and abilities to determine what type of
job would best suit each client. Once the goals and interest of
each client are discussed the coordinator would support each client
in skill development, applying for positions, interview training
and maintaining positions once secured. These positions can be paid
or volunteer. The role of the job coach or coordinator is to support
the clients as well as the employer. We provide a support system
to help the individual learn their job duties, expectations, develop
skills and as well as adjusts to their work environment. The job
coach is available for as long as she is needed and provides ongoing
support to both employer and the employee.

relationships and create natural supports within the workplace.
Our vison is for participants to find meaningful paid employment
in the community doing jobs they enjoy while meeting the employer's

supports 35 clients with diverse abilities from the Windsor-West
Hants area Some of the local businesses who benefitted from our
program include the Central Home Improvement, SPCA, Donnies Taxi,
Masonic Home, Windsor Elms Village, Windsor Day Care Centre, Pothier
Motors, Jeff's Service Center, The Manning Farm, Mason's Apples
and the Windsor Community Centre.
